I attended a town hall meeting and panel discussion on Nov. 23 hosted by the Maine Women’s Lobby. The panel, assembled in the community room at Lithgow Public Library, included state Sens. Cathy Breen (D-Falmouth), Shenna Bellows (D-Manchester), state Rep. Charlotte Warren (D-Hallowell) and James Myall from the Maine Center for Economic Policy. The discussion covered the causes of pay inequity and some solutions and steps to take toward a more equitable future.
