Hundreds of immigrants in Maine could lose Medicaid coverage

James Myall, senior economic policy analyst for the Maine Center for Economic Policy, a left-leaning think tank, said when people delay care, it costs the health system more because their conditions worsen.

“Anytime people lose their health coverage, those costs are getting pushed to the rest of us,” Myall said. “It will have an upward pressure on insurance premiums.”
