Mainers face growing financial need

Many Mainers are struggling financially as the pandemic and economic fallout continue.

The Maine Center for Economic Policy (MECEP) issued a new report based on U.S. Census Bureau data. The report shows that 7.6% of Maine adults, roughly 81,000 people, sometimes or often do not have enough to eat. More than a quarter of those adults also have children in their homes.
