Poll: Mainers strongly back taxes on the wealthy, oppose cuts to health and child care

Mainers have made it clear that they want a fairer tax system where the ultra-wealthy pay their share, said Garrett Martin, president and CEO of the Maine Center for Economic Policy.

“This new polling shows what we already know — Mainers are done watching the wealthy walk away with record profits while working people struggle to find child care, afford rent, or access basic health care,” Martin said.
