James Myall, a policy analyst at the Maine Center for Economic Policy, has been looking into the impact this minimum wage increase would have. He said a $19 an hour minimum wage, compared to the median wage in the city, which is projected to be $31.60 in 2028, would be within the range economists consider sustainable.
